Courses
Adult courses
Group courses are organised on specific dates and are held from Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 1pm. The school is closed on national holidays and the lessons in these days are not recoverable or refundable. On the first day of the course, students must go to school at 9.00 where they will take a level test. In the case in which only 1 or 2 students are present for a given level, they will be offered 2 lessons of 45mn each; In the event that, after the test, only 3 students are present for a given level they will be offered 3 lessons of 45 mn each.
Junior courses
Group courses are organised from mid June to mid August and are held from Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 12.30am.
- For students requiring transfer from/to Rome airports, arrival must be on Sundays and departure on Saturdays at the indicated dates.
- The balance must be paid at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. The address of the accommodation will be sent only after receiving the full payment of the programme.
- Students are not covered for any illnesses, accidents, thefts or loss of personal property (neither at school nor at their accommodation) therefore we strongly recommend all parents to take out a travel insurance policy for their son/ daughter (including coverage for illnesses, accidents, civil and penal liabilities to third parties...).
- In case of damage to the school or homestay property, even if it is an accident, the student will have to pay the full cost of the repair or replacement.
Accommodation
Finding accommodation is a free service for all students regularly enrolled.
Accommodation is at students' disposal from the Sunday afternoon before the beginning of the course until the Saturday morning following the end of the course. The arrival time must be communicated to the school or to the owner at least 4 days before. If you fail to inform the landlords, we cannot guarantee there will be someone at home to welcome you.
Every accommodation available through the school has been carefully selected. If the student decides not to attend classes, or to shorten his/her stay, he/she is not entitled to any refund.
Adult students who choose to stay in apartments are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of them. A deposit of € 100 must be left, which will be refunded the morning of departure. The deposit or a part of it, can be withheld for any of the following reasons: the lodgings haven't been cleaned, damage to the apartment, its furnishings or objects.
In shared apartments bedsheets are provided but towels are not; host families provide bedsheets and towels. Guests are not allowed without the school's permission. Students requesting that their accommodation be changed must offer serious and justifiable reasons.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be communicated by email.
The deposit is not refundable but if the student cancels more than 2 weeks before the course starts, the payment of the deposit will be converted in a voucher for another Italian course that the student may attend within one year after the annulment.
In case of cancellation made 2 weeks or less than 2 weeks before the beginning of the course, the entire sum will be forfeited.
For this reason we strongly recommend to take out an insurance covering all the expenses.
Visa
Students coming from countries that require a visa to study abroad need to contact the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their home country beforehand to complete the formalities. A certificate of enrolment is one of the requirements for obtaining a visa. In order to receive a certificate of enrolment the student must pay the full tuition fees.
Insurance
Students are not insured against illness, accidents, theft or loss of personal belongings, either by the school or by the owners of their accommodation.
Citizens from EU countries need to apply for the European health insurance card at the local health authority office of their home country before departing for Italy in order to be entitled with medical assistance at the local rate by the Italian National Health Service.
Students from non-EU countries should take out a private health insurance for the entire duration of their stay in Italy. We advice our students to enquire about it at their Italian embassies.
